EYELASH EXTENSIONS

BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT

​

• avoid wearing all waterproof eye makeup for 48hrs before the appointment including eyeliner
• if you have fair/blonde natural lashes we highly recommend getting your eyelashes tinted 2-3 days before your appointment
• on the day of your lash appointment give your eyes a thorough cleanse making sure all makeup residue is completely removed, concentrating on cleaning along the lash line as close to the eyelid as possible
• avoid applying moisturizers or oil-based creams around the eye area - this includes micellar water
• arrive at your appointment with no makeup on at all
• avoid hair or nail appointments immediately after your lash appointment as this can interfere with the bonding of the glue
• we recommend removing contact lenses during your lash appointment especially if you suffer from dry eyes
• we will not carry out your lash appointment if you have or are being treated for any eye infections
• if you are currently undergoing chemotherapy or any other form of cancer treatment unfortunately we cannot provide you with eyelash extensions for at least 12months since your last treatment due to your immune system being too low and the risk of the reaction being severely high.
• avoid caffeine before your appointment to allow yourself the best rest possible and for your lash artist to work with more efficiency
• feel free to bring some earphones and zone out to your favorite playlist
• mobile phones are expected to be silent during your appointment 
• no children or family/friends are allowed at your appointment

AFTERCARE

• DO NOT PLAY, TOUCH OR PICK AT YOUR EXTENSIONS
• WASH YOUR LASHES DAILY WITH A LASH CLEANSER
• PAT LASHES DRY
• ONLY WHEN DRY, BRUSH WITH MASCARA WAND
• NO MASCARA OF ANY KIND TO BE USED WITH EXTENSIONS
• NO OIL BASED PRODUCTS ON OR AROUND THE LASHES
• DO NOT USE AN EYELASH CURLER
• PROFESSIONAL REMOVAL IS REQUIRED
• EXPECT TO LOSE ON AVERAGE 3-5 LASHES PER DAY
• IT IS NORMAL TO SHED LASHES QUICKER ON ONE EYE MORE THAN THE OTHER
• INFILLS ARE REQUIRED EVERY 2-3 WEEKS
• MUST HAVE LASHES REMAINING AT TIME OF INFILLAPPOINTMENT
• WE DO NOT INFILL OTHER LASH SALONS WORK. REMOVAL AND NEW SET IS REQUIRED

WHY DO I HAVE TO CLEAN MY LASHES DAILY WITH A LASH CLEANSER?

It is absolutely imperative that your eyes are kept clean at all times. When you are wearing eyelash extensions bacteria, natural oils, dead skin cells, sweat and make up debris can build up along the lash line. If these are not removed daily, not only will they cause the bond of the extensions to weaken faster but can cause your hair follicles to become blocked. Blocked hair follicles will result in a thinner and sparse lash line as the new lashes will not be able to grow through. If your natural lashes become compromised, we will have no lashes to apply the extensions to.

Failure to cleanse daily will also encourage the breeding of lash mites. Lash mites do exist and are completely normal. They feed on the dirt along the lash line whilst you sleep at night therefore a thorough cleanse before bed will minimise the amount of lash mites existing and help keep your lash line healthy and full.

The use of an eyelash growth serum such as ReVitaLash is recommend whilst wearing eyelash extensions. You can purchase ReVitaLash directly from us in the studio.
